Krill Oil
Whilst there's a vast list of benefits from taking Krill Oil, they boil down to two main elements - Antioxidants and Omega 3's.
It's easy to recognise those as simply buzzwords thrown around to suddenly make fish-fingers healthy or to sell the latest "superfood" which was just a berry last month. The truth is, these two vital elements provide a wealth of health.
Antioxidants
We all know oxygen is good for us - but like all things, the right amount and context are key. Oxidants can break down organic matter. When an apple turns brown? That's oxidation. The breakdown of the healthy elements. Antioxidants fight this effect, helping to keep your healthy cells healthy and immune system stronger overall, for not fighting itself.
Omega-3
This is a fatty acid, commonly found in fish. Whilst it may sound oxymoronic, this is actually a healthy fat which aids the metabolism - a key element in all weight control. It doesn't necessarily increase or decrease your metabolism on it's own, consider it more of a lubricant - the WD40 of your metabolism, making your efforts in diet or exercise more efficient overall.
Together, these nutrients have some great effects on your body, including:
- Healthy Bones & increase joint comfort
- Fighting signs of ageing
- Aiding concentration and memory
- Blood sugar health
- Healthy brain and nervous system function
- Anti-Inflammatory protection from cell membranes
- Cholesterol and other blood lipid health
- Healthy liver function
- Strengthening your immune system
- Optimal skin health
